Moving towards net zero embodied carbon: more sustainable buildings 2030
No matter the complexity of a project, our innovative materials help you to meet the requirements, of customers and the environment. Discover the high-performance materials for the most demanding applications in the projects.
We help develop applications in the construction market such as insulation, flooring, roofs, walls, facades, doors, windows or pipelines with our dedicated raw materials for coatings and adhesives, thermoplastics, foams, composites and more.
Materials that make the world a brighter place
Our materials enrich our daily lives and make the world a brighter place. They contribute to efficiency, safety and sustainability, and have demonstrated their performance in countless projects and collaborations with our partners and customers.
Customers expect insulation boards to deliver interior comfort and increase energy efficiency in everyday use, cutting operating costs and lessening climate impact. Now, as buildings achieve higher operating efficiency thanks to better insulation, a larger proportion of any building’s life cycle emissions comes from the raw materials, required to produce the insulation materials. Taking this wider life cycle view of environmental impact is vital in the construction industry, which generates a significant slice of global CO2 emissions.
So when DeLux Developments decided to use in construction a new range of more sustainable polyurethane foam insulation boards, the task was to find a material solution that would generate much lower emissions during production, yet deliver the high insulation performance that makes PU so attractive as a material in the first place. The use of new materials range is also part of our company’s wider drive to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
